Chennai is one of those Indian cities where gold is in high demand throughout the year. People here consider it a good way to invest and save money. In addition, it also has great cultural value. As a result, more gold is traded in this city than anywhere else in the country. The Bullion Association uses an international stock exchange to determine the price of gold in Chennai on a daily basis.
On Wednesday morning, the price of 22 carat gold in Chennai was Rs 47,310. The same amount of 24 carat gold was mined for Rs 53,850 in the city.
Ten grams of 24 carat gold is being procured for Rs 52,970 in Kolkata and Mumbai. The same amount is fetched for Rs 53,130 in Delhi. It retails at Rs 53,020 and Rs 52,970 in Bengaluru and Hyderabad respectively.
According to the BankBazaar website, 10 grams of 22 carat gold was bought for Rs 47,210 in Mumbai. In Kolkata, the price was Rs 47,190. The same volume was trading at Rs 47,200 each in New Delhi and Hyderabad.
In Bengaluru, the same amount of 22 carat gold was trading at Rs 47,080. In Kerala, Pune and Kochi, the price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold is Rs 47,210.
