Four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have sold senior all-rounder and long-serving player Dwayne Bravo ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.

Since joining Chennai Super Kings in 2011, the West Indian has won the Purple Cap twice (2013 and 2015). The Yellow Army paid INR 4.40 crore for the Caribbean all-rounder in the 2022 IPL auction.

The 39-year-old couldn’t justify the price tag after scoring just 23 points in 10 games at a miserable average of 11.50. He had a bowling economy of 8.71 and 16 wickets in 10 matches. He was considered one of the best bowlers in T20 Cricket in his time. Due to his ability to lower attacks in death attacks, he may become a sought-after asset in the upcoming auction.
