3 players released by Chennai Super Kings who can be targeted by Royal Challengers Bangalore | News Bharat

Under the new leadership of Faf du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore joined the Indian Premier League season 2022. RCB displayed some outstanding cricket and looked set to win the competition. However, they were eliminated from the competition after failing to beat Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier.

The upcoming campaign of the Bangalore franchise has been very attractive. With this in mind, the think tank has decided to retain most of its players and release only five after the IPL 2023 auction. Royal Challengers Bangalore will prefer to fill the vacancies with top players as they try to win their maiden IPL championship in the upcoming season.

Chennai Super Kings released a number of players after the franchise finished 9th in the 10-team tournament in IPL 2022. The CSK side dropped Dwayne Bravo, Robin Uthappa, Adam Milne, Hari Nishaanth, Chris Jordan, Bhagath Varma, KM Asif , and Narayan Jagadeesan.

Let’s take a look at 3 players released by Chennai Super Kings that Royal Challengers Bangalore can target.

Chris Jordan, 34, one of the best death bowlers in the industry, has played an important role in England’s T20 team. The 34-year-old is capable of bowling two solid overs at the death and can also bat if needed.

Both RCB and CSK were keen to hire the death over specialist but he finally joined the CSK camp in IPL 2022 for INR 3.6 crore. Chris Jordan, who has a reputation as a powerful lethal bowler and some powerful shots lower down the order, was first picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2016 for the IPL.

He has picked four opponents in the same number of games in IPL 2021, but only two in four IPL matches in the 2022 season.

Chennai Super Kings bought Adam Milne in the IPL 2022 auction but he was forced out after just a few matches due to injury.

Adam Milne was earlier acquired by Mumbai Indians for INR 3.2 crore in the IPL 2021 auction to add to their strong bowling attack. He is known for his razor sharp bouncers and deadly yorkers. He featured in just 10 IPL matches, taking 7 wickets at an average of 46.71.

Royal Challengers Bangalore may be interested in signing the fast pacer who knows how to terrorize opponents with his blistering pace.

Narayan Jagadeesan

In Indian domestic cricket, Narayan Jagadeesan has established himself as a household name. The 26-year-old eliminated all his opponents and became the first batsman in history to score five consecutive List-A hundreds. This also features a staggering 277 runs off 141 deliveries against Arunachal Pradesh which is included.

The star batsman was sacked by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2023 auction for under-loading his performances in the 15th season of the IPL, scoring 40 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 108.11. However, given that Jagadeesan has been in great form recently, he may be able to improve in the upcoming T20 season with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
