Arunachal oranges launched in Dubai | News Bharat


ITANAGAR, December 1: Organic oranges from Dambuk in the Lower Dibang Valley district were launched in Lulu Group hypermarkets in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday.

The oranges were launched in the presence of Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Secretary Bidol Tayeng, Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board (APAMB) CEO Okit Palling, Director Agriculture Marketing Tadu Game, Director Karbom Riram agriculture joint and a team of Lulu hypermarket officials during a program. organized in Dubai by the APAMB, in collaboration with the Lulu Group International, on December 1.

Applauding the efforts of APAMB and APEDA, the regional manager of the Lulu Group called the event “a milestone that will open up the market to several other organic products from Arunachal Pradesh”.

Speaking at the event, Tayeng said that “organic oranges are just one major product of the state, and in the coming days, several other products from the state will find their way to these markets.”

Palling informed that Arunachal oranges have been produced by the Dambuk Organic Orange Producer Company Limited, formed under the MOVCD-NER.

He further said that agriculture and horticulture produce like pumpkin, pineapple, ginger, turmeric and large cardamom in the state are of better quality.

Palling acknowledged the unrelenting support provided by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Agriculture Minister Tage Taki.

Responses from other stores, such as Lulu stores in Doha, have also been very encouraging as the shelves were nearly empty by evening.

The event was also attended by representatives of other commercial companies in the country.
