The Guindy police are looking for a man in connection with the murder of a youth who worked at a chutney shop in Guindy. The identity of the youth has not yet been established. The police have formed special teams to arrest the accused, and they are also making inquiries with the owner of the chat shop.

A senior official of the Chennai city police said that there is a chutney shop on Masoodhi Street in Guindy that employs several migrant workers. On Monday, a youth from Bihar was recruited, which did not sit well with another worker, Rakesh, born in Uttar Pradesh. Rakesh got into an argument with the youth on Monday night because he suspected that the former had stolen the mobile phone. A heated argument between the two turned physical and the young man from Bihar was killed. Accused Rakesh fled from the spot.

Alerted, the Guindy police sent the body to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital for post-mortem and are also investigating the owner of the chat room to identify the victim, who was recruited through an agent.
