Chennai: Two weekly traffic diversions announced at Anna Nagar from December 1

Chennai: Traffic restrictions and diversions have been announced for 14 days in Anna Nagar in north Chennai from December 1. The city traffic police has taken care to facilitate storm water drainage (SWD) works in the area. Officials called on the public to familiarize themselves with the instructions and follow the instructions to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the area.

The civil workers will carry out the SWD works near the electrical substation at the junction of Thirumangalam 100m Road and Anna Nagar 3rd Avenue Road connecting 6th Avenue Road. The works will take place in two phases from December 1 to 14.

From December 1 to December 7

Traffic proceeding towards Thirumangalam 100m Road from Anna Nagar Police Station Crossing takes a left at 6th Avenue x 5th Avenue Crossing and proceeds through 13th Street ‘Z’ Block to reach 6th Avenue Road again and proceed towards 100 – meter road.

Vehicles going towards Anna Nagar Police Station Junction from Thirumangalam 100m Road can drive through 6th Avenue Junction as normal.

From December 8 to December 14

Motorists going towards Anna Nagar Police Station Junction from Thirumangalam 100m road turn right at 6th Avenue x ‘G’ Block 14th street Junction, proceed through ‘Z’ Block 13th street to reach 6th Avenue again and proceed towards Police Station Anna Nagar Junction Station.

All vehicles going towards Thirumangalam 100m Road from K4 Police Station Crossing can pass through 6th Avenue Crossing as usual.

Earlier this month, the police announced that traffic on some roads in and around Panagal Park in T Nagar would be restricted for three-and-a-half years to facilitate Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) works.

Vehicles from Prakasam Road to Bashyam Road proceeding to Pothys will be restricted and will be diverted via Thiyagaraya and Thanikachalam Roads. Restrictions will also apply on Venkatanarayana Road. Traffic from Burkit Signal intending to go to Anna Salai via Venkatanarayana Road will be restricted and the same will be diverted via Hindi Prachara Saba, South Boag Road, Ma. After. You are. Junction and Anna Salai.

Traffic coming from T Nagar – Madley along Burkit Road and intending to go to Anna Salai via Venkatanarayana Road is restricted and will be diverted via Mooparappan Street, Link Road and Anna Salai. Motorists can proceed on Thiyagaraja Road from Panagal Park towards Ma.Po.Si. Statue in place of Thanikachalam road junction to Panagal Park.
