Dubai: On behalf of the Department of Government, Hussain Al Fardan, Head of the Innovation Center, the innovator of the Customs Smart Deterrent Drone, Adel Al-Suwaidi, Director and Technical Support Department, who made a presentation on the integration of the deterrence drone with the Siyaj border control system, and Khalid Al Zarouni, specialist in innovation. Dubai Customs Innovation Center, which introduced the process of evaluating innovations at Dubai Customs.
Dubai Customs topped the IdeasUK Platinum Index with a total score for the third year in a row, outperforming a number of local and international organizations participating in the conference this year.
Dubai Customs also won the best innovation award for its Smart Customs Deterrence Drone and the second best idea of the year. The Department of Government was able to go far with its First Innovation League, achieving a high level of global distinction, beating 33 different organisations, which urged leading British establishments to take up the initiative.
Participation in international awards and competitions would motivate Dubai Customs employees to be part of the innovation process in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Adel Al-Suwaidi said; “We have integrated our smart deterrent drone with the Siyaj border control system efficiently to improve the performance of the protection and control process as part of our mission to protect society from the dangers of illicit trade “.
