According to his best mate Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo has now put his Indian Premier League career on hold. Bravo made his debut in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008 and began his journey with the men in yellow in 2011. Prior to this year’s auction, CSK did not retain Bravo, but he still walks away with three IPL trophies. Bravo will now continue with Chennai Super Kings as their bowling coach.
Bravo said in a statement:
I’m looking forward to this new path because it’s something I see myself doing when my playing days are completely over. I enjoy working with the bowlers and this is a role I am excited about. From a player to a coach, I don’t think I have to adapt much because I’m always working with the bowlers while playing and trying to come up with plans and ideas to be one step ahead of the batsmen. The only difference is that I will no longer be standing in the middle or in the middle. I never thought I would be the leading run-scorer in IPL history. But I am happy to be a part of IPL history
