VERIFICATION OF THE FACT
NewsMobile checked the viral video and found it to be fake.
Looking closely at the first frame of the video, we can see “DUBAI RUN” written on the top of the arch door, indicating that the video could be from Dubai.
By performing a reverse keyframe image search, we traced a YouTube Short Films Video, dated November 20, 2022, posted on an unverified channel. This uploaded clip is an exact match to the viral video, with the description reporting that the footage is from Dubai Run 2022, where over 193,000 people took part.
Another article, titled: Hamdan leads Dubai Run record, published by Asian Lite — a United Arab Emirates media house, dated November 21, 2022, also shows the archway we see in the viral video.
In addition, the article reports that Race of Dubaia city-wide initiative by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, is organized to promote an active lifestyle among the city’s citizens and is one of the highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), which aims to make Dubai the most active city in the world.
So, we can conclusively say that the viral video, which claims a massive rally outside the Doha football stadium before the first match of the FIFA World Cup, is FAKE.
