Celebrity couple Sarah Khan and singer Falak Shabir were recently spotted vacationing in Dubai.
With their Instagram full of adorable photos and panoramic views of the city, we couldn’t resist sitting them down for a quick chat about what their vacation was all about.
The couple shared their thoughts and experiences on all things food, shopping, activities and fun in Dubai.
Here’s how it went.
PICTURES: Do you have any favorite places in Dubai that you think every Pakistani should visit?
Sarah: This is a tough question because there are so many places in Dubai that we would like all Pakistanis to see. Every time we come here, we explore a whole new place and that’s what everyone should do when in Dubai.
I think it would be a total injustice if I pointed to one place and said you should just explore this because there is so much to see and experience here; but you should definitely visit the spas here to relax.
Falak: I agree. I also think that there is a lot of variety of food on offer in Dubai. There are two main attractions in Dubai; one is the atmosphere and the vibes they have created everywhere and the second is definitely the food.
IMAGES: What are some of your favorite activities here in Dubai?
Falak: Skydiving is at the top of my list! I experienced it with a friend and that’s what helped me take the leap and sign up. I also liked the fact that the team was very professional and made it easy for us to experience something like this.
Sarah: I have to say that the show of La Perle de Dragone made me very nostalgic because it brought back memories of my childhood visits to circuses with my nana (grandfather); the other favorite I have on my list is the Dubai Miracle Garden.
Falak: I also liked Edge Walk and the top of the Burj Khalifa.
The couple also mentioned the Museum of the Future as a favorite.
IMAGES: What made you fall in love with the Miracle Garden?
Falak: For me, it was the village of the Smurfs and the Emirates plane that was full of flowers and full of colors.
Sara: I agree. But I also loved Passage dels Cors.
IMAGES: Any shopping spots in Dubai that you visit regularly and recommend?
Falak: Too many, we shopped at many places but we think City Walk Dubai, JBR point were the best. Also, Dubai Mall is a must for all travelers.
IMAGES: Tell us about your favorite hotel in Dubai and why is it your favourite?
Sarah: SLS Dubai Hotel and this room! And that’s because we’re both minimalists and love stylish places with a unique theme and an amazing view. We also like it because it is very spacious; perfect for our daughter to play.
Falak: We like this hotel more because it is very close to Dubai Mall, Downtown and Burj Khalifa. The location is perfect and that’s why SLS is at the top of our list. By the way, we also loved the 25Hours Hotel.
Sarah: We think it’s a perfect place for people who are on holiday in Dubai with their friends or family because there are so many activities here.
IMAGES: You recently visited Green Planet Dubai. How was your experience, what did you like best?
Sarah: One of my favorite places is Green Planet Dubai.
Falak: The environment that has been created at Green Planet Dubai is really picturesque and close to nature. There are so many unique things to explore and that’s why Green Planet is one of our favorite places.
PICTURES: Are you planning to travel again in the near future? Where and for what?
Falak: Oh, we’re back here for the Dubai Shopping Festival and the New Year celebrations are also around the corner. So it must be Dubai. And since we are now Golden Visa holders, it feels like Dubai is our home.
I’m also planning a music video shoot here, so we’ll be visiting Dubai again very soon.
