Jacob the Jeweler and a couple are looking to set a (very high) record.
Watchmaker Jacob & Co., of which Jacob Arabo is chairman and creative director, and real estate developer Emeriati Binghatti are collaborating to build the world’s tallest residential building in Dubai, The Daily Mail reported.
When completed, the hypertower Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. The 1,550-foot-tall, 100-story Residences will usurp New York’s 98-story Central Park Tower as the world’s tallest residential building, the outlet reports.
The building, which will be located in the heart of Dubai’s financial district, will have a diamond-shaped crown of spires, as well as five penthouses and luxury two- and three-bedroom residences, according to the renderings.
Arabo told the Mail that the penthouses will consist of three types named after Jacob & Co. watches. Fleurs de Jardin, Astronomy and Billionaire.
“As the name suggests, the Billionaire Penthouse is the hypertower’s jewel in the crown,” said Arabo.
The building, shown in a cloud-breaking rendering, will also have a concierge team offering babysitting, bodyguard, chauffeur and private chef services. It will also feature a private club with an infinity pool, gym, spa and lounge area.
Muhammad Binghatti, CEO and Head of Architecture at Binghatti, said the partnership with Jacob & Co. it is based on the “pure desire to achieve what breaks the boundaries” of both brands.
The project was presented on November 19 in Dubai in front of an audience of thousands of peopleaccording to Jacob & Co’s Twitter account.
An opening date for the hypertower has not been announced.
Dubai is no stranger to luxury real estate.
