Spy shots of the Mahindra Thar 4×2 RWD are circulating the internet. Leaks reveal its Blazing Bronze exterior color ahead of its official launch. This color is currently only available on the XUV300 TurboSport. This shade of gold isn’t often seen on the high street, but it seems to go well with Tal’s look.
While the gold look can be glamorous depending on personal taste, the glossy finish can appear a bit flashy. If the same shade has a matte finish, the SUV will have an elegant profile.
The Thar 4×2 is expected to get some new color options. Those that come with the standard Thar 4×4 will likely remain. Colors include Aquamarine, Naples Black, Red Fury, and Galaxy Gray. Most of these color combinations exude power and dominance.
In contrast, the Mahindra Thar 4×2 is available with a new palette of lighter shades. These new colors will help the Thar 4×2 stand out while also expanding the range of options for enthusiasts.
A bronze image of the golden rear of the Thar 4×2 RWD also reveals the limited dimensions of the trunk. If more items need to be loaded, the rear seats must be folded down. For medium-sized families traveling, it is better to wait for 5 Thar. Another option to consider in this segment is the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door.
The 4×2 Thar has the same internals as the 4×4 variant. Certain components are missing, such as the 4×4 gear selector. The 4×2 version has no gear selector and very little practical space. While the infotainment system remains the same, the Mahindra Thar 4×2 gets a rough road mode instead of the off-road mode found in the Thar 4×4.
The changes made to the Thar 4×2 RWD variant can help bring down the price by around Rs 1.5 lakh. It will be interesting to see what pricing strategy is adopted for the upcoming Jimny 5-door.
