The NSE Nifty50 gained 16.55 points to 18634.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 45.37 points to 62727.21 at around 11:10 am.
Hindalco Industries (up 2.96%), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.71%), Bajaj Auto (up 1.43%), JSW Steel (up 1.08%), Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 0.99%), Eicher Motors (up 0.88%), Grasim Industries (up 0.82%), Tata Steel (up 0.75%), Asian Paints (up 0.72%) and Grid Corporation of India (up 0.71%) were the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies (-0.91%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (-0.9%), State Bank of India (-0.87%), IndusInd Bank (-0.8%), Infosys (-0.7%), Tech Mahindra (-0.68%) %), Bajaj Finance (down 0.54%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.52%), ICICI Bank (down 0.44%) and Divis Laboratories (down 0.4%) all posted losses.
