Image Source: PTI Since 2015, November 26 has been celebrated as Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly in 1949. Previously, the day was Law Day.

Statue of Dr. A life-size bust of BR Ambedkar was unveiled at the Custom House campus on Saturday by a top official as part of the Constitution Day celebrations.

Chief Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Zone, MVS Choudary unveiled the statue, he and Chief Commissioner of Customs (Commissioner General Chennai), G Ravindranath, spoke about the salient features of the Constitution, a press release said.

The celebration was marked by the enthusiastic participation of the customs staff, the architect of the constitution, dr. Flowers were also presented to Ambedkar, the message says. Since 2015, November 26 has been celebrated as Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly in 1949. Previously, the day was Law Day.
