Several places in the UAE are gearing up to celebrate the country’s 51st National Day on Friday, offering discounts, plenty of family-friendly activities and, of course, fireworks displays.

The UAE’s pyrotechnic prowess will light up the skies of Dubai on December 2, a much-anticipated part of all the country’s celebrations, especially on National Day.

Here are some places to watch the fireworks in Dubai this year.

The Point

Join the National Day celebrations at The Pointe on the Palm Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s most sought-after dining spots. Visitors can expect a splendid fireworks display at 21:00 local time, as well as themed fountain shows.

The beach – JBR

The beach, opposite JBR, a bustling area full of tourists and Dubai residents all year round, will host a fireworks display at 8pm local time on Friday.

Bluewaters Island

Home to Madame Tussauds and Caesar’s Palace, Bluewaters Island is one of Dubai’s most popular areas for residents and tourists alike. A fireworks display is also expected on Friday at 8:00 p.m.

Al Seef

With its seafront views and traditional architecture, Al Seef is one of Dubai’s historic neighborhoods, known for its warm hospitality and live entertainment throughout the year.

The fireworks show at Al Seef is scheduled to take place on Friday at 20:00.

Visitors to Dubai Festival City will be able to see an epic display of brilliant lights taking over the sky with celebratory fireworks from 21:00 local time.

Emirati artist DJ Bliss, who recently appeared on the Netflix reality show Dubai Bling, will also play live music afterwards.
